Mardon Recycling Machinery Ltd are committed to supporting our local community and for the last 2 years we have been sponsoring the CSEF (Children’s Safety Education Foundation). From the money they receive from us and other similar minded businesses in the community, they promote safety to children of school age, in the form of books, which are also in digital format meaning that all classes and children have the opportunity to use them. The books are bright and colourful to entice the children to read them and are donated to a school of our own choice. So far we have supported Chulmleigh Primary School and Ashleigh C Of E Primary School.

This year, Natalie (Finance Director) and Lin (Servicing Co-ordinator) went to visit the South Molton United C of E Junior School to meet with the Head Teacher Mr O’Donnell and some of the students. We presented the school with some lovely books about safety and life skills, which the children and teachers are very excited to start using and said “the books will tie in lovely with the ‘Life Skills’ topic they are currently working on.”

Whilst being safety books, which deal with some uncomfortable situations that any of us could be faced with, they have been made in such a fun way that teachers and the children will really enjoy using them. There are lots of fun quizzes, spot the hazards and discussion topics to encourage interactive learning in the classroom as well as individual enjoyment.

The books we presented to the school include:

  • DeeDee (young children’s fire safety)
  • Fire Awareness (for slightly older children)
  • Anti-bullying (guidance on what is bullying, what effects it has, why it happens and how to deal with it)
  • Play Safe (awareness of the dangers of water and transport systems, playing safely at home and outside)
  • Respect – your life, your choice (for more senior children about choices they may need to make now and in the future

We really hope the children and teachers enjoy these books and look forward to hearing feedback from them.

Are you looking for a new exciting and varied role?  We are a well-established Waste and Recycling Equipment company in the UK offering loads of overtime and training in order for you to progress your career within our growing company. Due to expansion we are looking to recruit the services of additional Service and Maintenance Engineers to be based at our Head Quarters in South Molton, Devon.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • This is a Workshop and field based role, working on Waste Recycling Equipment such as cardboard balers and compactors.
  • Service, maintenance, fault finding and repairs carried out on customers’ sites.
  • Refurbishing of machines within the workshop.
  • You must be flexible with hours.
  • Weekend cover may be required on rota basis with expected continued growth
  • Producing risk assessments and method statements for internal and customer records
  • Regular overtime is available
  • A full clean driving licence is essential
  • A Forklift licence is preferred but training can be given

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified or experienced hands on Maintenance/Service Engineer/Fitter
  • Must have experience with 3 phase Electrics, Welding, Hydraulics and Mechanical
  • Must be computer literate, organised and must possess excellent communication skills
  • You will be a highly motivated individual, effective communicator and a strong team player
  • You must be from a service engineering background with experience in repairing and maintaining recycling machinery
  • A good level of health and fitness is required for the demands of the role.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer/Fitter based from home in the Worcester or surrounding areas. You will be carrying out installation/decommissioning as well as service/repair and maintenance work at customer sites, ensuring the machines are repaired quickly and efficiently without compromising safe working practices. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong communication skills and a flexible/positive approach to problem solving. In return we are offering a exceptional package including a salary of £25-£27.5K plus regular overtime available. We are currently expanding our organization and are now seeking a Field Service Engineer, based in the Worcester or surrounding areas.

Key Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Based from home, you must be willing to travel to carry out service/repair and maintenance work at customer sites to reduce machine downtime.
  • Ensuring that machines are repaired quickly and efficiently but most importantly working correctly and safely
  • Bank Holiday and weekend cover on a rota basis may be required with future growth
  • You will be required to install and decommission the machinery and train operatives on the safe use of the equipment (you shall receive full training prior to you attending sites).
  • To liaise with members of staff, customers and suppliers at all levels.
  • Understand and comply with Health & Safety, Quality Procedures, Company Policies and all other areas of compliance.
  • You will be competent at producing risk assessments and method statements for internal records and for customers.

Qualifications/ Skills required:

  • Qualified or Experienced hands on Field Service Engineer/Fitter.
  • Mechanical, Hydraulics, 3 Phase Electrical and Welding experience required.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Computer literate organized and possess good communication skills.
  • A good level of health and fitness is required for the demands of the role.
